Using iNaturalist to Learn and Connect in the Greenway

WebHe uses iNaturalist to document the biodiversity of his garden. So far, he’s observed roughly 450 insect species, including 60 bee species. He’s an active contributor of observations and identifications to iNaturalist. Since 2024, he’s been a Brooklyn Borough Captain for the City Nature Challenge, the largest community science event in the world. WebEven if you aren’t making observations, iNaturalist can be a helpful tool for learning more about your environment. For Greenway Trust staff, the Greenway iNaturalist project allows us to better familiarize ourselves with the plants and animals we’re likely to see in the field.
