I like how Spyderco has only 2 exterior bolts showing; one at the pivot and the other securing the pocket clip (and rest of the handle) together. Web17 Aug 2024 · The Spyderco Shaman looks like an excellent blade, with a great handle, a great lock, and some classic Golden touches. But with a MAP in Sebenza Territory (plus or minus $30 from $300), its not competitive. For the same price you can get a blow-you-away blade from Reate or WE Knives (see e.g.: Reate Baby Machine). The Taiwanese Spydercos are some of the best production knives in the world. I have the Gayle Bradley, Sage 1, Southard and the Nilakka and cannot get over the fit and finish. I have to admire the symbiotic relationship that Spyderco has with their Taiwanese partners - you can tell that they are on the same page.
Web14 Sep 2024 · Taichung Spydercos are just better knives than the Chinese, Seki City, or even Golden Colorado Spydercos in terms of fit and finish. They are almost eerily perfect. This knife, while not Lt.-Commander-Data-on-a-math-test perfect, is still one of the better USA made Spydercos I have ever handled. It came dead centered, with a beautiful satin grind.

Grip: 0 The clip placement is an issue. The Compression lock is an issue. The cramped handle is an issue. China and Seki city made spydercos can be hit or miss, while Golden Co and taichung spydercos are almost always solid. It would be easier to compare specific models.
