Web31 Mar 2024 · After the gate is open a little bit, get inside the trunk area to inspect the alignment of the latch with the striker from the inside. Keeping all fingers clear of the opening, slowly pull the gate closed with the handle until the latch is just about to touch the striker, and look at the alignment.
